The firm provides consulting services to nonprofit sponsors in order to evaluate and assemble funding applications for this housing program for the elderly. Upon award of funding, consulting services continue and include coordinating the entire development process from selection of the development team to final project close-out. The firm has secured over $293 million in HUD Capital grants, rental assistance, and demonstration grants for 40 Section 202 projects. In conjunction with these projects, over $9 million additional dollars in impact fee reductions and secondary funding were secured, which was instrumental in the successful completion of these projects. | ![]() |

This five-story structure was built on only 1.6 acres. Extensive design and site planning was needed to work around adjacent wetlands. Funds from land proceeds helped the local parish upgrade their entire wastewater system, in addition to providing an emergency generator to power this system. The small site helped maximize efficiency of the land while placing residents closer to social activities offered at the church.

This HUD 202 project required a lengthy, yet productive, collaboration with the community and its residents to obtain the necessary zoning. The resulting project included two separate buildings whose design and location minimized the impact to the surrounding area. The design also incorporated the local parish into the campus in order to maximize accessibility of support services.
